Rebecca Smith, of Berkeley is one of 10 landscape contractors in the state chosen to participate as a Subject Matter Expert for the California Contractors Licensing Board on May 30-31, 2003.  Ms. Smith and her colleagues were called to Sacramento and assigned the duty of writing and verifying exam questions for the new landscape contractors licensing exam.  Perhaps the landscape industry is moving more toward sustainability.

Fine Gardens has been asked to join a Home Improvement Fair put on by Keller Williams Realty in Berkeley, California on June 21, 2003.  The location is 1812 Walnut Street.  The Fair includes a building contractor, interior designer, a solar power company and a Fung Sui consultant, among others.  Fine Gardens is the only landscape contractor to attend and will offer free consultations and have native and drought tolerant plants on display.
