At Fine Gardens we've developed a landscape process which embraces the concept of sustainability. We work with both residential and commercial clients to design and develop the most aesthetically pleasing, ecologically sound and environmentally sensitive landscapes possible. Our projects range in scale from small urban gardens to several-acre spreads. After all, nature shouldn't be limited to parks and open spaces; bringing it to your doorstep is what we do best.
Consultation
Our
approach to consultation is simple: Create a beautiful garden within the
framework of sustainability while fostering dialogue and communication with you,
the client. We believe that the garden is a most intimate setting where
one goes to absorb the peace of nature. With this in mind, we cater to
your wishes, giving you the paradise you envision, not the landscape we
impose. We offer a complimentary one hour consultation for all our
clients.
We recommend and promote the use of
native plants. Using native plants
greatly reduces water usage, and because they are more disease and insect
resistant they require far fewer controls. All in all, they are an economically (and ecologically) wise
choice.
Landscape Planning
Planning is essential to creating
a beautiful, ecologically sound landscape. From site analysis and design
to environmental assessment and drainage issues, the planning phase is where we
consider all factors of the project. At Fine Gardens we use a strategic
approach to landscape planning which provides us with the best possible solution
to your landscape
needs. Plans:

Landscape
Design
Because
a sustainabily designed landscape is in harmony with nature, and is created to sustain itself over a
period of time, it is often less costly, more easily maintained
and quite beautiful. Landscaping in this way reduces resources (water,
energy and new building materials), reuses materials (which helps cut costs),
and recycles debris (home composting, community composting, chipping of pruned
material). Done correctly, a sustainable landscape can provide you with
beauty, harmony and lower maintenance requirements usually at a lower cost than
traditional landscape techniques. Fine Gardens uses
and promotes CAD and IMAGING software in an effort to reduce paper consumption.
This method also reduces the amount of time required for reviews and revisions, and
allows you to see the final result before we break
ground.
Installation/Build
We offer excellent installation services as well.
Who knows better how to install the design than the designers themselves.
Our installation contract includes one free month of follow-up maintenance, and
a full one year guarantee...how do you like that? We often work with other craftspeople
and designers on projects, so if you have your own contractor, we'll be happy to
work with him/her to insure that the design we created for you moves through the
installation process without a hitch.
WOW! would ya
look at that!!
Ah! After all the tough decisions are made (which deck?, irrigate?,
what plant where?) and the hard work is complete (whew!), the results are magnificent! Click
